Pitch: Short film idea

Come up with an idea for a short film to present to the class. These are more like an expansion of a "What if..." idea(from The art of storytelling Links to an external site.).

These are just initial brain nuggets to get us started.  Original stories are great but feel free to adapt existing material, this doesn't have to be an original story.  You could also go for something non-narrative, wacky, music video, etc. When coming up with these ideas, be mindful of the scop, especially when it comes to the number of main characters, the story details and ups, and downs. The length of the short film should be 5 min maximum. 

Take your time developing your idea and how to present it to the class. You need to pitch and sell your idea, so be creative and push this pitch to the next level by showing shots of important scenes, character sketches, concepts, etc.

After everybody pitched their ideas, two-person teams are going to form around an idea and refine it for the next pitch.

Submit your idea in writing. Also, submit any other materials you need for your pitch. Be prepared for pitching in the next class!

This assignment will be graded based on how you developed an idea and the quality of your presentation
